Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

Eravikulam National Park

Known for its endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Eravikulam National Park is one of the finest National Parks of India. It has the highest population of Nilgiri Tahr in the world. Its scenic beauty is equally fascinating. Located in the Idukki district of Kerala, this Park houses Anamudi, the highest peak of South India. A wide variety of other wildlife species are also found in this Park. Best Time to Visit- September to February.

Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary takes pride in its huge elephant population. Located in the Idukki district of the state, the sanctuary provides shelter to a variety of amazing wildlife.
Best Time to Visit- December to April.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

It is a bird's paradise where both resident and migratory birds can be sighted. It is truly a great delight to see such colorful and wonderful birds. The boating facility is also provided in the sanctuary. Best Time to Visit- November to February.

Periyar Tiger Reserve

It is a great wildlife destination housing remarkable wildlife species. Tiger, panther, elephant, Lion Tailed Macaque, gaur, barking deer, Great Indian Hornbill, Nilgiri Laughing Trush, Ceylon Frog Moth and wild dog are the main highlights of the reserve. Best Time to Visit- September to March.

Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary

This is the mesmerizing destination where you can treat your eyes to the views of a variety of beautiful birds. It boasts of around 500 avian species and 28 animal species. Best Time to Visit- November to February.

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary

It is a home to the enchanting species of mammals, birds and reptiles. It is also under consideration by UNESCO World Heritage committee to be selected as a World Heritage Site. Best Time to Visit- October to March.
