Centrally located at Puttaparthi in Ananthapur district, Satyabhama Temple is dedicated to Devi Satyabhama, the divine consort of Lord Krishna. Being a prime destination in Puttaparthi, the temple is visited by the devotees in huge number throughout the year.
Another amazing fact with the temple is that it is the only temple in India which is completely built in the respect of Devi Satyabhama, the proud lover of Lord Krishna. This modern temple also depicts a number of images of Lord Krishna along with Devi Satyabhama.
There is an interesting myth associated with the temple, which says that Sri Kondama Raju, Sai Baba's grandfather, once had a dream where he found Devi Satyabhama standing in heavy rain and wind, asking for shelter. This lead to the determination of constructing this beautiful temple.
The temple has a marvellous three feet high image of the main deity that adorns the sanctum of the shrine. You can be a part of the daily puja in accordance with rituals, which are organized here in a ceremonious way.
