Devotees visit the beach to take a holy bath that promises the purgation of your past sins. The prominent tourist attractions at the Kanyakumari beach are the Vivekananda Rock Memorial (built in 1970), Gandhi Memorial and the Guganatha Swamy Temple. Also known as Cape Comorin, this multi coloured sand beach is the last destination of India.
